| Todays solution for the delivery & returns parcel sortation process
The CPS is a low cost, small footprint, high throughput solution for postal service and express delivery customers with moderate volume applications for delivery sortation and/or the special processing of returned items generated by todays mail-order consumers.
| Large range of parcels processed
The high speed CPS uses a bi-directional diverter system to provide a high density of output destinations within a very limited space.
The compact parcel sorter processes priority mail items, parcels and bundles weighing from only a few grams to 15 kilograms. Various shapes and sizes up to dimensions of 61 cm x 38 cm x 30,5 cm are sorted efficiently.
| Multiple output options & modularity
The CPS is configured to output items either into parcel mail trays, larger hampers or onto conveyors for further downstream processing. The design is also very modular; additional output destination modules are essentially "snapped" in place to expand the system capacity to met each customers unique requirement.
| Best value high throughput sorter
The compact parcel sorter has been designed to address medium volume sorting applications (10 000- 50 000 items per day) where the larger higher volume sorters (tilt-tray, cross-belt, shoe, etc
) require more significant capital investments that are not justifiable. This solutions provides 3 700 parcels per hour sortation at a fraction of the cost of these other technologies.
Items traveling along the conveyor are identified either by a bar code reader or by manual entry on keypad interface. The result is sorting accuracy greater than 99%. The system architecture supports the addition of an optical caracter recognition module if required.
The system is engineered to address the day-to-day requirements of industry standard ergonomic requirements for the height of the conveyor, keying station and output locations. Emergency stops are integrated along the full length of the system.
| Reliability and maintainability
The CPS is designed to operate with limited preventative maintenance (occasional vacuum cleaning of the conveyor chassis) and only one or two annual maintenance actions. Each sorter diverter module is pre-wired and designed for electrical and mechanical "plug and play" requiring no more than one half hour for replacement when required.
| Dynamic scale & manifesting- options
The system is designed to incorporate a dynamic in-line scale for applications requiring individual item weighing. Additionally, a manifest can be generated to link item address (destination and origin) and weight information to external customer systems.
