An expert’s answer
SOLYSTIC has evolved its TOP concept and developed a more complete system, which remains just as reliable and flexible, TOP 2000.
With cutting-edge postal automation technology, this machine is designed to achieve twice the level of operational productivity as standard machines already available on the market.
Range handled by TOP 2000
TOP 2000 can process a wide range of mail, including paper envelopes, plastic or tyvek-covered items and unsealed mail, all in larger formats than the standard TOP machine (up to 2 kg and 32 mm thick).
How does it work
One or two infeed lines, each equipped with two feeders, receive mail, process the address then inject the envelope onto a 2-tiered sorting carrousel. A tray unloading device helps the operator. The trays are recycled by the machine. Outputs (max. 480 trays) are separated onto two levels, which reduces the footprint of the machine. A dynamic runout assignment system enables the machine to sort into several destinations (+15-20%) than the number of outputs it is equipped with. Tray handling is completely automated. This is essential for operational efficiency, enabling the system to be run by fewer operators. Finally, TOP 2000 can be set up to prepare delivery routes in 2-pass mode.
We also provide many options to improve the system’s performance.
Strong points
Wide range of mail handled
High output
Modular input and output
Optimised maintenance
Ergonomic system
Image processing
Each infeed line can be equipped with a COPERNIC™ image acquisition unit which sends the envelopes’ images to an optical address reader or to the video coding system, which is either situated locally or at a distance. The process can also be carried out by a virtual identifier (V-Id™). >> find out more
Ergonomics
During the design stage, the ergonomics of the TOP 2000 system were studied in depth in order to optimise productivity and facilitate the work of operators. Noise levels, which are particularly low, also play a part in their comfort. In the same way, signalling and Man-Machine Interface have been studied in detail so as to improve the overall performance of the system.
Optimum maintenance, maximum performance
TOP 2000 machines have been designed to reduce down time. Being sturdy and reliable, they are equipped with a range of tests and diagnosis programmes. Easy access via a maintenance passage, associated with these programmes allows maintenance teams to operate more quickly and easily.
